Re:

Wow weeeee !!! Nipper , Needle in a haystack springs to mind

Can you give us anymore clues, what do you think the shape and colour may of been ?
Probably 1960’s French yeah ?

Re:

Not too mysterious.... looks like the original Mavic Monthlery rims with the remains of the original Mavic transfer. This rim was introduced in 1959 I believe so it was top of the line and perfect for the PX-10 which used these rims up to the early 1970s.

Like these ?

I have a couple of sets of Montlhery’s but they have smooth side walls .

Do you know when the dimples / knurling was introduced ?

Re: 1960 Peugeot PX10 rim mystery.

Dimpled rims.... Work of the devil lol. I've got some Superchampion rims which seem to have a random selection of dimpling. Maybe it was a country thing as UK sprint rims were usually never dimpled.

Yeah they do feel a bit rough when the pads make contact ,

What about the spelling

Monthlery
Or
Montlhery

Re: 1960 Peugeot PX10 rim mystery.

Yes, those are the decals. And yes, the early versions of these rims had the dimpled brake surfaces, I think up to c. 1967.

I had a PX-10 identical to this one.
