Noticed my saddle was right back on the rails last night so moved it forwards again. Did it up tight and ride into work this morning (comfortable again). Tonight I see it's moved back again. Any tips to get it to stay put? Saddle in question is a rolls the Seatpin a standard no name alloy micro adjust thing on my Peugeot.

Thanks

Carl

Rough up the contact points.

Does that really work?. I thought about it but it seemed a little simplistic if it does generate enough stiction then happy days!

Finally got time to take it apart and check what was wrong. Cleaned and lightly sanded the rails and rail area of the clamp which was greasy then noticed what I thought was a slight deformation as suggested by LGF, fortunately there's plenty of metal there so I took a flat file to the under side of the clamp internal and removed just enough metal to make it grip a bit harder. Put it back together and went for a quick 6 miles and it's stayed put. Looks like it's cured.

Carl.
