Hi

I have just purchased a lovely Somec 70's road frame that needs a respray. I was going to send the frame to Ellis Briggs but I couldn't find much feedback on the internet. I I would like to paint in a single colour with contrasting inlays on the lugs.

Whats the latest thoughts on the best place for a quality respray for under £200?

Re:

Bob Jackson will do it for around that price. Been in the biz forever and I've never seen a bad paint job yet . .

Thanks. I have seen a mix of opinions about Bob Jackson, with the main criticism being their finish is susceptible to chipping. I guess you only hear negatives normally.

Brian Rourke is very good too and won't cost the Earth. Mercian are excellent but a little dearer. You get what you pay for and all that jazz . .
