Please help me identify a bike

Retro Newbie
Hiya,

I recently found an old raleigh by a bin and decided to do it up. I've taken it to a workshop to be stripped and repainted before I build it. I foolishly however didn't take any pictures of it or record the serial number before taking it in and am now struggling to identify it online - I need to identify to get the frame specs so that I get appropriate components.

If anyone could help me identify the model that would be greatly appreciated. Here are a few details I know:

-its a classic men's road frame
-has dual brake levels
-GB coureur 66 calipers
-short mudguards under each caliper
-is orange

It's not a huge amount of info here, but hopefully one of you will recognise the frame :)

cheers,

Tom

Re:

Without pictures it could be anything :) Did it have lugs or a Raleigh badge? Best guess is Orange Raleigh lol.

Orange or bronze? The Scorpio was bronze....

Re:

Thanks - there is a Raleigh badge - I have found a pici took that isn't great but better than nothing....

It looks a lot like the Scorpio but it's not exactly it - has broke fork ends

Raleigh badge, wrap over seat stays, chrome fork ends...........could be an early Grand-Prix before they moved over to the flashier Crespera lugs?
