1980s Framebuilder Hastings Area

Hi, any pics of the whole frame, seat stays and rear dropout with the hanger? Over BB cables and Cinelli MC style fork crown could make it a tad earlier.

Fork crown looks like Haden Europa and the lugs Haden Royal Sovereign, us there a close up of the seat cluster?

Now that's neat :). Could be any builder with class from small like Spooner to bigger like Ellis Briggs. Why do you think it's local? Can't see from the linked pics but what's the frame number?

The seller said it was built for a club rider in the hastings area, thats the only reason - I suppose the builder could have been anywhere as you say. Ok it may remain a mystery, I've not got the frame yet so when it arrives i will get the number off the BB and that might help.

Looking at John Spooner pics now, certainly looks similar!
 
It akso looks like a Vic Edwards for some reason, just the thinning of the seat stay at the top, mind you a lot of builders could do that from Pennine to Wally Green (who also built for Carter and Hall who I think is in Portsmouth :)
