ID Required - Raliegh Team TI 1980

Benshambob

Dirt Disciple
I have recently been given this bike and can't seem to identify it, all the components have been changed to Shimano Ultegra all bar the front Derailleur which is Campagnolo
It has the GVOD markings and says its a Team T.I. 1980 on the tube

Does anyone have any info about this bike at all?

The nearest bike I can find is the Raleigh Team USA with more serif style lettering (Below)

Best starting point is the frame number to nail the year of manufacture, should be under the bottom bracket :)

Ooohhhh! An SBDU :). Very Late 80's if memory serves.....

Google Special Bikes Development Unit and prepare to feel a very warm glow....if not wetness :)

Ooooh that's very interesting

Out of curiousity what would these be worth as if i'm reluctantly honest its a tad to big for me!

The extra stamping including the H usually means it was a customer order and not stock which can be more appealing to a buyer. Probably worth a lot more than you thought depending on who wants to buy it. It's later than my era so you will have to wait for one of the real Raleigh SBDU big hitters to come along and help with a value.

Re:

I think this one is very late (1987?) - possibly after the sbdu had been closed and a new unit established in Nottingham
