Yes this is definitely one of those ideas where money speaks louder than anything else.
On the up side it would only be a straight out sprinter who is going to win it and with it being an Olympic year where the course is a bit different, then maybe it gives riders the chance to have a shot at one or the other, rather than both. (if that makes sense)
