Identifying a hetchins

Bought this used in the late 1980s, any ideas as to its model, when it was made or how much I would get for it for selling it
on? Serial number 10453

Forks are Magnum Opus but not sure about the rest. Unusual with the canti bosses, other braze on's make it 80's or modified at that time.

I'm not an expert but Jackson built built frames started with the year IIRC. Might be a Butler copy?

Does VCC have a Marque expert?

Hilary Stone has all the old records of frame numbers etc from the shop, from memory.
He seems to be the man that can tell you about it.

Contact Hetchins.com and David Miller. Didn't serial numbers start with H and on the rear dropouts? It could be a Vade Mecum 1 with upgades at a later date.

in 1970 Hetchins serial numbers were prefixed with the first two digits being number 10 the next three digits were sequential to the amount of frames built....I would guesstimate your frame to be 1971 or thereabouts

Nice finds and info, Hetchins are a bit of a mystery to me....
