Look KG66 - Carbon Frame help

Hi Everyone

I have come across this fantastic Look KG66 but it has some problems and I need some advice.

The seatpost is well and truly stuck but is fine for someone my height which is good.

The carbon has got these creamy blisters mostly around the lugs and the aluminium is showing signs of corrosion in places; is the frame rideable/salvageable or is it a retro wallhanger? I'm a bit worried that the carbon may have reached the end of its life.

It has a great spec so i'm not too worried if it's just a pile of parts.

Thanks for your help

Dan

Those blisters look like just the lacquer lifting. Quite common on carbon parts.

Don't force the seatpost on that frame if you do decide to try and move it. I recommend using plenty of time and plenty of penetrating oil. Last resort might be to cut it flush and carefully saw through the post with a hacksaw blade depending how much post is in the seat tube.

Re:

That sounds good but they're painted a dull grey at the moment. As much as I like to keep things stock I might give that a go, the paint is on the way out.
