The mysterious Carlton number only numbering system from 1968-1972.......... Looking at the brochures is the best way of dating. Likely early 70's as I remember polishing that imichrome

Very nice, we don't see a lot of blue Continentals from this era. Very original indeed. Very much like this.

Strangely I was out on my 73 version this morning, its first outing in 2016.

A great entry level Carlton from the early 70s.

It's a lovely sky blue but not flamboyant or polychromatic

I have rarely seen imichrome from that era in near mint condition.

I think I will simply service and clean her up before putting her to market. Unfortunately cannot justify another keeper!!

Oh....and everything is still clean, free adjusting and greased. Even the original tyres are excellent.

Somebody treasured this and donated it to a charity where it was hiding for a few years.

Anyway, just thought it would add a bit of sky blue to a grey day
