Hi All

I have a Sun frame with the old brass diamond head badge and would be nice to know the year if possible?

Frame number: DE12733

I cannot find a resource online so hoping you can help?

Thanks

Sully

Hi, I hope this helps, it gives all the first digits for the main Birmingham Sun's. Terry

Any idea if they are the same date codes for Parkes-branded bikes?

Hi, Parkes were Sun's, so the answer is yes, just incase, I forgot to mention the split between the years is because the code was financial year based. I believe Sun tried creating a premier marque with Parkes but I don't think any one was fooled, and you also had the choice of so many custom frame builders towards the top end. Terry

Mine has an E prefix, so it is in fact 1938/39. Good to finally know for sure! I've got some sprint rims and [more] hubs so I'll get some more pics up later. Shouldn't be too far off now!
