Dave Lloyd concept question-opinions please

Having just acquired a nice Save Lloyd concept 90 frame, I am wrestling with several questions!
Whether to go with downtube shifters or Ergo/Sti's and whether to go with Shimano or Campy and Black or Silver. Will put some pics up later. Opinions please? All gratefully rec'd.

Oh and it will be a rider, not a Garage queen.

I've been building up an early 90s CBT (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=328429&hilit=cbt+italia) and am having the same dilemma!

I intend to ride this bike and would like the convenience of ergos, but find them so unappealing. They're just so large and ugly, and the early 90s ones all come with black hoods which is messing with my preferred colour palette ;-)

I think I'm going to build up with ergos anyway and give it a spin - if the convenience of the gear shifting is enough I'll leave it otherwise I'll switch them out for some friction downtube shifters.

Well, if the frame is a 56, then I'd say don't bother with any of that nonsense, just sell the frame to me and I'll relieve you of all the issues.
