Saving an old Peugeot

Retro Newbie
Hi. I'm new here and need some advice on saving and reusing my old peugeot 103 bike from the late eighties. It's in pretty rough condition but my biggest concern in the frame size. If it's too small I will not spend the time and money to fix it up.

Using a sizing calculator on Competitive Cyclists it suggested the following sizes with the pug sizes in brackets:

Saddle to handlebar 54.8 -55.4 (44)
Effective Top Tube Length 58.3 - 58.7 (53)
Seat tube c-t 56.6 - 57.1 (64!)
Seat tube c-c 55-55.4 (55)

While the seat can be shifted a bit backwards it will not move 10cm.

What else can be done?

Is this bike for me?

Will try to upload a couple of pictures later.

Thanks

Bobd

You're not measuring the seattube C-T length correctly (possibly including the seatpost?) - there should be no more than a 1-1.5cm difference between C-C and C-T.

Well i have Transported it home to Germany and will see if I can enlarge it via saddle and handlebars for a bit of extra space. If still no good then eBay here it comes.

Thanks for the input.

Re:

If the components are of any use, keep them, sell the frame and get a larger one.
