any thoughts welcome!

looks like late 70's early 80's record at a vaguely educated guess. Have had a few similar with the grease port

IIRC Record was the only one ever to have the grease port.

CDA, Chorus, Icarus and Euclid also had grease ports.

This looks like a standard Chorus hub, the Record version has the snazzy chromed plastic bearing covers which were impossible to remove without damaging them. Also, skewer is deffo a period mismatch.

I think CdA was the only model apart from record to have the grease port in a raised central section like this one. A quick check of the 1991 catalogue confirms this, but I haven't checked other years and there might be some variation. Only record had the alloy bearing covers that extend the curve of the hub shell down past the locknuts, so this isn't record.

I reckon it's CdA.

I'm inclined to agree with the CDA having looked at some pics. The end caps are slightly different but that could just be a model year thing. Put fresh grease in it through the grease port and it's good as gold too
