1963 Raleigh Trent Tourist update

Re:

This takes me back a bit. My first new bike for passing the 11+ was a Raleigh Trent Sports. 4 speed SA gears if I remember correctly. I was a bit annoyed that my parents hadn't bought me a bike with derailleur gears.

Good luck with it.

Ah cool :D I have a 1950s Rudge Ulster Sports f+f and chainring, that I plan on doing a restomod on, I have heard on here that the Rudge Ulster Sports of that era was a badge engineered Trent Sports, sure enough I have had the two bikes side by side and the frames are identical as far as I can see. The four speed sounds cool, when my Dad talks about his childhood he always says you were the bees knees if you had an SA four speed  I have always been a hub gear fan, I like derailleurs but I love the smooth shifts of an SA.

Thanks for the luck :D
