Hi - not very mechanical newbie

Hi All,

After much searching I have finally found 2 old steel road bikes that are small enough for me :D and I am adapting them to the Devon terrain. I am likely to be posting technical questions as I am a novice at doing up bikes.

Ah, thanks guys - I was a bit concerned that it would be difficult to keep an older bike running, but it looks like there is plenty of info and advice out there :D .

Ask loads of questions on here. I do and people still respond (nicely)

Good to see another Devon'er on here too. Where abouts? East? West?

Thanks Coomber, people have been very welcoming and helpful so far :) . The questions will start once I have been riding the bikes for a while and start needing to do maintenance / change the setup. I am hoping that finding spares won't be too much of a nightmare....

I'm in Exeter, and am just discovering the delights of CTC riding with the Exeter group. Where are you located?

Re:

Honiton so close! dont cycle in a formal group buy do buzz up and down the old A30 a lot before popping to other places nearby. Lots of good country lanes just outside of Exeter I am sure you will learn them soon.

Enjoy the bike(s)
