Hi folks, I'm new to the world of vintage bicycles, I recently purchased here in the UK a Mens Simplex Gazelle Bicycle... it was purchased from a chap in Harwich in the UK (a major UK port to Holland), who in turn had purchased the bicycle from a 70 year old man who had told him that it had belonged to his father but that was all he knew about it.... I love this bike, it's awesome to ride.... but it would be great to know how old she is... I suspect that she dates from around 1953... her bike frame number is 2935382.... all the bits and bobs on the bike say she is made in Amsterdam.... any extra info would be most appreciated!... I've included a photo of me and the bike I have nicknamed "Gerty"....
