Does anyone know when Campag switched from the old toothless steel pulleys on their first gen Record rear mechs to plastic ones? Also, were they grey to begin with? I've got one with plastic pulleys for my Ellis-Briggs rebuild but not sure if they're originals or replacements as they look identical to the ones on my Super Record mech from the 80s.

I'd prefer plastic as I've read the metal ones are noisy but don't want them to look out of place.

Cheers,
Mark.

Thanks Paul, that's a useful link. So 1965 was the 9 tooth version and 1967 saw the introduction of the classic alloy version making mine 1966 if the plastic pulleys are original. I can't find any pictures of a NOS 1966 version but I'll keep the plastic ones as they are.

Mark.
