Hi my name is Keith,
I raced in the 90's and was a big Greg Lemond fan so had a Gan replica that went through first a Mavic Zap system (worked great till someone crashed into the rear derailleur) after that went to Campag. Only recently fished it out of an old shed looking very sorry for itself. A friend is restoring it at the moment.

I'm back riding now but on a Fuji Altimira but really enjoy seeing the older bikes too

The softride history is its Kevin Kimmages old Olympics bike from 1992, I bought it off his brother Raphael.

Welcome to the forum Keith. Nice looking Lemond, it should come out of the resto fine. Have you ridden the Softride?

hi, notice the little gan sticker on the side of the fork,maybe i will copy this detail.
looks like you have the GL panthographing on the fork crown as opposed to the inverted triangle.
do you know what the steel is ? if it is not excell.
soft ride must be really rare i wish i could see pics of them being raced bitd
i only remember an elite australian tri athlete using one.[i reckon cause he had back problems]
im sure orbit did one then zip used the idea of the beam.
