retro look 1 1/8th ahead stem

I've picked up a nice viner steel frameset that I intend to build into a singlespeed cyclocross bike.

I wanted to keep it looking authentic and put a nice quill stem and bar combo on it but when it arrived I realised the forks are 1" threadless.

Been trawling t'internet trying to find something that would look in keeping with the bike but can't picture anything looking right so I need some inspiration.

Anyone got anything built up they could post a photo of to give me some ideas please?

Cheers!

Re:

hi, there have been posts here. A head 1" 1/8 can be reduced to 1" with a shim.
in my opinion the nicest looking A head stems are syncros[26mm bar clamp] the type which doesnt have horrible
clamps sticking out the back but i reckon they are not that common.
might be cheaper to buy a 1" threaded fork with a 22.2 internal hole size.
before hand checking the head set cup sizes for your head tube.
you can get full curved bars with inch/eight clamp to continue the classic style.
cyclocross...previous posts point to canilever brakes.

Re:

thanks matey. Have found one which has forward facing bolts and looks quite neat. Genetic is the brand.
