Hey! Hi! all u Two wheelers.

Instead of buying a newie I have brought myself a banger to do up for some crazy reason, built a few new bike over the years but this is the first time I have ventured into the dark side of retro! eek

Picked myself up a raleigh "something" needs a bit of tlc, so am hoping you clever bunch can help me along my retro path & obviously I will repay the favor in kind.

"Hey" quite a lot, looks ok from a distance (like 100m) but up close she needs some plastic surgery.

I am trying to identify what it is, if its anything interesting ile restore like for like, otherwise I will mod her, either way sand blasting/repaint & full rebuild required!

Things i recon are wrong!
1. Frame & Forks are orange, black & red are hand painted
2. Front head tube piping yellow.
3. Requires Front mech as it has cable way?!
4. Front Crank should be 2x, its either lost a ring or replacement.
5. Gear shifter should be double

Thinking out of the box, is it a 1970's ish record? or should i get back in my box?
