I`ve looked at loads of pics without success - what wheels to you reckon / know would he have on his Paris Roubaix bikes around `77 `78?

Mavic SSC at a guess or maybe de badged weinmann carreras ..both tough rims and used or rough roads bitd

really hard to tell, and seeing as SSC GL33O and GP4 are all the same profile it is impossible to tell, might be a standard GP4 to add a little extra strength

Thanks - that`s great - the white label means it`s a mavic. I was originally thinking maybe Nisi. I had a look at the start of `Sunday in Hell` & it seemed the rims were shiny / silver rather than grey.
I`ve got a couple of pics of him I`ll dig out & try & post.

Any chance is could be Ambrosio Nemisis? They are bomb proof rims and AFAIK were issued in the Paris Roubaix etc
