I have some old cantis that don't have any means of adjusting spring tension in the arms.
The front set are not in balance.
I understand you can bend the weaker spring to increase the tension.
My question is which way? Leaving the spring anchored in the in the middle hole on the canti stud do I bend the spring towards the rim or away from rim?
I'm thinking away from rim...

confirmation would be great if anyone knows.

If you want the spring you are bending to push the canti away from the rim then you need to bend it outwards, away from the rim.

Thanks for posting. My modern Frogleg brakes have this problem to a certain extent so I'll give the method a go with those.
