Ebay Prices

Anyone else constantly amazed at how high some people value their bikes?

Point in question.........

Nice frame obviously, but bottom end Campag group. You can't blame people for trying, but something like this if auctioned wouldn't fetch much more than £350.

Yes, I saw that one and thought it was rediculous. I thought Raleigh bought Moulton years ago.

I stand corrected. Just looked on wiki. "In the early 1980s, Alex Moulton bought back the rights to the Moulton design from Raleigh"

They can put whatever price they want, but at the end of the day 99.9% won't sell
There is however the odd occasion where some daftie with too much money will come along and hit the BIN button

A case in point - fantastic bike and signed (proof of authenticity?) but still, it's £3500

Fair play if they sell at that price but there can't be too many punters willing to pay the asking price?
I love that bike. But at the end of a day, it's not Roche's bike, just signed by him. All in I would probably pay £1500 if I had the money, the signature doesn't really add much value.

It's one of the nicest looking bikes on ebay at the moment - it's got that wow factor for sure. It's obviously worth decent cash, but I struggle to see the line where a seller picks the price point. I also struggle with certain claims as a means to justify a price. No original box, nor any paperwork saying it's no.1 ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Campagnolo-C- ... 2a33ddee67

For sure it's rare & in A1 condition but surely that should dictate what it's worth, not the fact it may or may nor have no.1 of 500 ...

I have messaged him to see if there is any certificate to show this is number 1 of 500. There are no pictures of a '1 of 500'
