Hello,

I bough a mystery bike of eBay last week and it's killing me not knowing what it is...

It's in lousy shape and I doubt much of it's original and it's had a terrible paint job.

Last night I managed to scrape off some of the paint from the headtube to reveal a bit of a sticker.

"ALCO" and "Designed by Ernie CLements"

A long and tiring Google session revealed a similar frame on eBay - linked here.

As you can see the sticker is not the usual Falcon badge... so any ideas what it is?

Cheers,
BigCam

PS - I know it's a heap of mismatched bits and probably not worth what I paid, but I'm gonna ride it anyway

I think it's a Falcon Panther - the frame and headtube sticker is the same as this one...

I would tend to agree so the question is - is it worth restoring :)

Hi Nob, I think it's worth tidying up and riding

If I could get my hands on the orginal spec, I'd be tempted to keep an eye out for period parts and then maybe do a little restoration...

... but there's so little information about it on the web
