The insert will have a hole for the oiler, you could put a suitable screw in after lining it up.

Tried that one. The hole is oval and about 7mm across the short side. Everything I have tried fouls the BB .
I ought to look for an older BB really.

Probably solved.
Found a longer lhs BB cup. That protrudes a few mm from the frame which allows a lockring to be used.
Now isn't it a good job that I save everything?
