Just got som Reflex Tuff Guards for my winter bike and I'm confuddled
as to what the press-studs and wires are for! There are four press-studs
on the rear guard and there are two press-studs and four press-studs on wires.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Also the rear guard where it attach's to the bottom bracket bridge there is just a slot and doesn't have the usual h shaped clip neither! Why not ?

I think the studs and wires are for a dynamo rear light. The metal in the guard acts as the conductor. It is the same with the paired silvery strips in SKS guards.

Hmmm! Thanks for that, I think I'm taking these back to the shop as they are a poor fit on my 80's frame.
