'Resident' Dutch bike

Dirt Disciple
Hi guys. I'm hoping somebody can shed some light on this bike I was given please? It's a lovely bike and as heavy as a tank. I'm hoping to tidy it up a little and sell it for charity (Macmillan) as it was given to me so free money for a worthwhile cause. I'd like to know the rough age, any other relevant info and possibly what sort of price I should aim for?
Thank you :)

Try your luck with zuydfiets on facebook.

He might help, he often buys in old raleighs to do up and sell, so may be interested in any other retro you have

are you sure it is Resident and not President?
No I'm not sure but I dont see a 'P' in the logo and also the main logo seems to be a big 'R'. Why is there a brand of bikes called 'President'? ...I thought that was a cheese

In The Netherlands, we don't have a President.
It's Resident.
The residence, the city where the gouvernment is seated, is Den Haag.
Symbol of the city Den Haag is a stork. This is also on the logo (head tube).

Thanks for the intercultural education! :)

I only suggested President because i thought Batavus made a model called President.
