Can any of you Campagnolo experts enlighten me as to whether this is an 8 or 9 speed hub?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Campagnolo-Mi ... 4177060906

I was under the impression that 8 and 9 are not compatible.

Looks like a 9/10/11 speed body to me. Not compatible with 8 speed

Agreed: alloy bodies were only on 9+ speed.
