Alan cyclocross

Retro Newbie
Hello there. This is my first post so I'm sorry if its in the wrong place. I acquired the bike a few years ago and took it out of storage today, oiled and greased it and it rode perfectly. I hope the link works to the photos as it is in lovely condition. I haven't seen many come up for sale and not so nice. If anyone has any info about these bikes it would be great or what its worth and I may even look to sell if the offer was right...

Thanks

Alan are still in business, but back in the 80s, their 'screwed and glued' aluminium and later carbon-tubes frames were cutting edge technology. They also made frames sold by Guerciotti and Colnago. The CX frames were popular and you still see them around at races, testament to their durability. I would keep an eye on the ally fork - I had a steerer failure once - it just went 'soft' as I was riding along - cutting threads in alloy tube is never a good idea.
