square taper 2 ring 9 speed crank??

I'm building up an old raleigh frame, which has a cup cone type bearing. It still works fine, and I have no idea if I could replace it with something newer.

Where should I be looking for one of these? if at all?
 
Forget about speeds on chainrings: if it's 7 speed or later anything will work. Ebay or here should have something.
 
You want to replace the bottom bracket, the chainset or both?

Bottom brackets and cranks need to be matched to get the right chainline.

Depending on how old your Raleigh actually is, it may have proprietary Raleigh sizes/threading (rather than industry standard ones).

Check out Sheldon Brown, who was a big fan of old Raleighs and has a wealth of information on them.
