down tube gear changer question .

I am trying to fit some Shimano 600 down tube shifters on my frame .
trouble is that the spacers are rounded to fit around the down tube .

on my frame they need to be flat .

any idea where i could find such spacers ?
frame is from 1992 , and was originally fitted with down tube shifters so they must exist somewhere .

I assume you mean the frame tubes arent a round profile- flat or oval? You could file the curves (lips) off to make them flat, but its irreversible for any future frame use.

Frame is carbon, but they added extra material to make it square.

Yes I did think about filing them but would prefer to find the correct ones.
