Selling my Holdsworth special.

Hi everyone - a newbie to the forum here!

I have decided to sell my Holdsworth special. When I bought it in 1995, it was fitted out for triathlon/time trials and had the handlebar set up with the gear levers at the end and it was in a pretty bad way. It has a Reynolds 531 double butted frame, campag running gear, and mavic rims. I had the frame shot blasted and re enamelled and stickered, and new handlebars for road use.

The thing I wanted to ask was what to clean up the components with before sale? I was going to use a degreaser with a toothbrush to remove the grime. Is it ok to use fine wire wool to remove corrosion off a rusty nut for example? is there a place on the forum for advice on value etc?

Many thanks in advance.

Sid.

0000 grade wire wool dipped in oil or WD40 should sort your rust out, or you can soak it in Oxalic acid :)
