a few years ago I bought an apparent NOS Raleigh frame on ebay. In appearance it is very similar to a Raleigh Ritmo, except it has mudguard eyes and, more unusually, if the Reynolds sticker is to be believed, is built from 531 Professional.
When I bought it the frame was bright yellow throughout with black block-style decals (poss US?) and like the Ritmo, "Raleigh" is embossed on the seat tube caps. It is definitely not a SBDU frame.
I was dubious about the tubing stickers as there is nothing remotely fancy about construction, lugs, BB shell etc. However, it is comparatively light and I've recently had it refurbished by a framebuilder who reckoned it might be genuine. Any idea what it is (as I've changed livery and braze ons, current pics wont really help identify) ?
