I have a Golden Arrow chainset that came from a bike that had a full GA group on it. 52-42T rings with the teeth in pretty good condition. There's little wear, if any, and I think that both rings would work fine with a new or partly worn chain.
According to Velobase
, you'd need a 119mm BB with it. I don't think that's a standard Shimano size these days but I could be wrong. In any case, a few mm longer won't be a problem, and you'd need a slightly longer cartridge BB as the fixed cup sits further inboard.
I also have the pedals that were originally on the cranks. I can't remember off-hand but they're either MKS or KKT (another Japanese brand). The bearings are find but need grease. However, they don't have dustcaps so you'd need to source a pair. No clips or straps either, but I could maybe find you some plastic ones.
