As per above,

I have a frame in need of sand blasting and powdercoating - can anyone recommend any firms in the Oxford area?

Thanks,

Martin

No personal recommendations, I'm afraid, but I'm looking for one myself and found the following firms recommended elsewhere (http://www.lfgss.com/thread60053.html):

PPS in Aylesbury
OIF near Oxford http://www.oif.uk.com/
Vale Powder Coating in Wantage
Witney Metalwork Services in Witney

Not sure if all of them are still open and haven't got round to getting quotes or anything but hopefully a starting point.

Hi there!

I work in Bristol currently so i've dropped the frame in with a local firm for blasting.

OIF seem to be v good on price, I was quoted £20 for powder coating which I think is a great price and I shall be using them for powdercoating.

Wow! That is a good price. Was blasting roughly the same price?

They can't blast themselves but they put me in touch with a bloke in Witney who can. I just haven't got the time in the day to get over there currently! He quoted me between £20 and £30!

This all sounds great.

Could you do us a favour and drop a quick post on here when it's all done and dusted to say how it goes? I'd love to know what the finish is like!

Yes of course, it's going to be fixed gear for commuting to work and back. Will get a build thread up!
