This is my sons school project almost complete, however needing advice with: hoods for Record levers, thinking about Dia Comp gum hoods as they are only £8 (not £50) cloth bar wrap, black? colour and brand of brake housing (non logo) and tubs have to be gum wall, Vittoria Rally?
Any help would be appreciated.

For that frame, I would go for shiny cellophane bar tape. Yellow or maybe silver would look nice on that frame.
Benotto Cello tape is the official stuff, but these guys are selling a decent imitation for a very reasonable price:

I bought some of the dia compe hoods a while ago and they are good too.

For tubs, I think Continental (Giro?) have a slightly better reputation that Vittoria Rally. I bought some Vittoria Rally and had problems with the base tape peeling off.
There's a thread about tubular tyres at the the top of the Road forum.

Good luck,

Johnny

That's the second 'Alan' pale blue I've seen in as many days. A superb colour with chrome lugs.

Have you thought about hand stitched leather for the bars? White or Navy?

There was a guide here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=240299&hilit=diy+leather

Not easy but well worth the effort :)
