I think if its dented your fine but if its cracked your not !

I have 2 dents like that in the top tube of my Cannondale, I know they were both done on clothes line poles when the bike fell against them 
They have been there for ages with no problems

Thanks all. That was my gut feeling but more confident now it's been confirmed.
I think I'll clean off a bit of paint around the edges of the dent just to make sure there are no cracks starting.
