Decathlon Workstands

Hello,

Does anyone have any opinions on the three different workstands that Decathlon sell? They have a budget model
for 60 euro, an intermediate for 85 and a Tackx 'Spider' for 140 euro.

The Tackx model is the type that uses a clamp to hold the front fork rather than a clamp round the frame tubes. This seems a more stable system to me - but is it worth the extra money?

I'm stuck with choosing between Decathlon's offerings because I need to get three bikes ready for the Retro Ronde Van Vlaanderen next weekend and Decathlon is the only shop I can easily get to from my work.

No experience with the Decathalon stands. I just bought the £60 stand from Ribble, it looks like a Park C9(?)

It's stable, backs down nicely. Very happy with it,

The Tacx Spider Team is not really good for assembling/adjusting bikes IMO, it´s more for washing and small adjustment to the drivetrain. I mostly use the Team at races, and use a "normal" stand at home.

Great, thanks synthesis. I was worried that the Spider's system for holding the bottom bracket would interfere with installing and adjustment of the cables.

So I think I'll go for the more conventional workstand.
