evening all - currently taking a steel frame back to bare metal - new paint job on the horizon.
existing paint ain't great (condition & colourscheme). as it stands, there's a fair amount of paint that has been scratched, chipped etc. I've stripped most of one side of the rear triangle and where said scratches & chips where, there's darker patches that are the on-set of rust patches - metal isn't flaking nor is it lumpy, simply patches of discolouration.
Should I be treating these with a 'product' prior to primer or once the primer / full-paint is on will that be sufficient to protect the metal from the elements?
Example attached...
Cheers all...
