Can't help but blimey that would have cost someone an absolute fortune in it's day to have made......lugs, chrome, paint, boxing, lining :)

From what i can make out on the rear lh dropout, frame number is 5-digit 13194
I need to drop the forks to confirm this.
I'm thinking early 50s,with the 5-digit number

Hi, wrong again, I make it 1951 ish from that serial number, are you going to gently clean it up first. Terry

Thanks for all replies
I have emailed images to a marque enthusiast in the VCC cycling club of which i am a member.
He also says it could well be a Cyclone from the early 50s,but needs more time to be sure.
I also think it could well be a Tornado.

As far as the restoration goes,i will clean up the frame taking great care.
I beleive it will look better and keep it's authenticity and patina, rather than a complete re-finish.
I'm not a lover of a complete re-finish.After all this is a frameset of 62yrs so looks much better with genuine paint and consistent wear and tear.
Hopefully will also keep it's value keeping it as near perfect when built
A work of art in my opinion. These do not come around often these days.

Hi Gents

This is now confirmed as being a late 1951 or an earlier 1952 Cyclone model by the VCC marque enthusiast
He comments on the poor condition, paint damage and rust etc.he also asked me to check the chrome work and see if they will clean up,otherwise a re-finish wil be beneficial.
I disagree with the re-finish.there is no damage evident to the tubing etc.
Cleaning process i think will be the plan and see how it develops.

What's your views on this?
