It would be good to see again. The coverage was excellent - I watched them going through Kent on the telly and then got a phone commentary from my brother in Brenchley. It wasn't exactly Phil Ligget quality - he was completely speechless with excitement.
Its done a lot for cycling in the UK I reckon - could be coincidence but we now have Cycling England, Cycling Scotland etc and their partnerships, and theyre pushing to get staff trained in coaching school kids and adults alike in the skills needed on and off road. If some more of these Xmas Halfords bikes actually get used then all the better I reckon.
There is no altruism in politics, and ultimately these are political descisions - but Ken couldn't lose with this idea and I welcome it again.
