Seller agreed to box it for a courier to collect! Surprised they took it in all honesty, even more surprised that it arrived!! Albeit it did sustain a little damage.

Turns out it was a bit of a dog anyway. Risk of buying from Joe Public....

Would love to hear, or even better see, anyone elses horror stories.

Pickle had the best one years ago!!

Cant find the link

I like the handlebars stuck out of the sides :D Just like the horns on Desperate Dan's pie LOL

Just out of curiosity which courier did you use?

Shaun

Great stuff eh! The pedals were left on too which is one of the reasons the box is so wide!

Courier was Yodel via P4D. I quoted the box as being 20cm wide.

Um I think i can beat that -

Arrived EXACTLY like that - wrapped in that sorta hessian sacking bag and rope and string tied round it. I found it in the driveway and i was lucky that the binmen were not here today - they would have lifted it. I lifted it and bits fell out!!! Irrespective of the value of the bike, should a courier leave them on the driveway? I think not!!!! And we do not have a long drive and all and sundry could have walked away with it.

Ha! Ok you win, my God that is bad. As you said I'm pretty sure the bin men would have taken that!! It is a bit of an old pooper though, what's your plans for that?

Is that a Raleigh Pacer? I used to have one of those - my first road bike. Mine was white with red stripes and red foam grips. I loved it. :)

I think it is a Pacer - it might be yours - was yours rust infested when you got rid of it? This is a huge headache for a mini build!!!

I have had another look - it is a Raleigh Racer 5 speed - pics of rust here -

It is for my 6 year old so it is small, i think that a Pacer was a larger bike but memory is hazy.
