Which Pedals?

Need your help to finish bike off.

I am restoring a 1983 Scapin and have bought full Campy Victory New Old Stock incl Wheels and a Chorus seatpost.

Last bit is which pedals as I have opportunity for some new Campy Triomphe pedals with toe clips and ties again new old stock for £80.

I get that they would look better and more in keeping with the rest of the build but are they practical to use?

On my modern fleet I have Lynskey R440 with DA 7900, Lynskey Sportive with Ultegra 6700, Boardman Air Pro with DA 7900, Focus Variado Expert with Tiagra 4600 and Bianchi Mega Pro with DA 7800.

All bikes have speedplays except the Bianchi which has 7800 pedals to match groupo.

What do you think for the Scapin - Heart says Triomphe but head says how are they to use and what shoes do I wear?

Sorry new to this old retro bit.......

Thanks

Yup Triomphe for sure.

Shoes would be old school cleated that hold onto the back plate and then pull that toe strap up good and tight! Not as safe as clipless but performance isn't too far from them.
