Having re-invented myself as the "bike fairy", I have picked-up three folding bikes to give to non-cycling friends.
They're all in roadworthy condition, but as they have chromed steel rims I would like to replace the front wheels with alloy rims.
Being hub-geared it would be too expensive for me to replace them and I don't think lower braking efficiency is that much of a concern, bearing in mind the type of bike.
Will standard 20" BMX wheels fit right in? Is there anything I need to look out for? Can anyone recommend some modestly priced wheels?
Thanks in advance.
