Peugeot Identification

Deax

Devout Dirtbag
The Peugeot posts have got me thinking.. Here's my only Peugeout purchase taken sometime in 1986, I think, by which time I'd got the Campagnolo bug and replaced the brakes, reat mech and pedals and added Cinelli bars and stem.

This seems to be a model that doesn't appear in the catalogues - it's 501 frame and forks and I think was purchased in 1985. It definately came from Sale Cycles Warehouse and I think was called a `Routier' or `Specialist Routier' (but I may be wrong). It has the interesting `grub screw' seat pin and front mech boss (clearly visible as for some reason I decided the inner ring was not required).

Despite the B/W photo I can tell you the colour was dark metallic burgundy, similar to the `Galibier' model (PGN) that does feature in a 1986 catalogue. It's a similar spec too, but clearly has detail differences.

I was thinking it might be a UK only model.

Can anyone identify it? Does anyone have one of these?
