Got this on ebay couple of weeks ago had a flip flop hub 18t on one side and a 5 speed 14-22 on other,has a halfords head badge,racelite wheels most of the decals had gone ,when did halfords stop producing bikes?any info ,cheers ev

yeah but my phone and computer dont seem to get on ,technology eh ! it was listed on ebay as a raleigh,i have stripped it down ,as paintwork was in bad shape,think it was a good bike in its day.Would it be worth my while making it original,my plan was for a singlespeed for winter,until i saw halfords badge,i cant remember them making bikes and im in my 40s,sorry for the long speil.

Chainset looks like an early SR Apex..............

If I got a pound for all the Cottered steel chainsets I swapped for SR Apex back in the 70's LOL
