I've just rebuilt a set of Wolber Profil 18 on a set of Mavic 501 hubs... all from Ebay for 40 pounds, add new DT swiss spokes and we're at 70 pounds budget.
At 1444 grams it's possibly the best value for money super light wheel set?

You beat me by £19!! my mid '80's profil's with the early foil sticker make a fantastically light set up. They did come with mavic hubs but I had them rebuilt with SR hubs and the lightest DB spokes. These rims are superb!!

They are very very fast...
unfortunately one of the rims has an imperfection which makes the braking a bit juddering, I have tried to file it smooth, let's see if it's better
