Shimano Crane Total Capacity

I'm slowly collecting parts for a replacement drive train and am now in the process of trying to source chainrings and need help deciding on ring size.

I'm using a Shimano Crane rear dérailleur which has a total capacity of 28 teeth, rear cassette will be a six speed 28/13 and I'd like chainrings of 52 and 38.

From my understanding my total capacity would work out as per the following- (52 + 28 ) - (38 + 13) = 80-51= 29.

Is my calculation correct and would there be a problem asking the rear mech to cope with a total capacity of 29 instead of the specified 28?

I would try it. Shimano usually gave conservative guidelines to guarantee trouble-free operation. Provided you don't have a bike with very short chainstays you will probably get away with it.
