I wonder why they bothered with those minor changes to make the Valentino version, given that it was already seriously out of date even in 1968 and was going in a cheap groupset? I can't imagine either part caused problems on the Gran Sport...

(Edit: I suppost the 3:00 cage screw acts better on the flat front side of the rod, rather than the sloping top, but it makes you wonder why they didn't change that in the previous 15 years :?)

This is a good example of the genuine early Gran Sport and, as such, should be passed on to me to go with my Gran Sport rear mech :wink:

I have another front mech like this one but in better condition for sale, how much are you willing to pay for it?
